Across the nation, family farms and ranches are disappearing at an alarming rate. The contributions of Elbert County’s farming and ranching families have withstood the pressures of growth, changes in farming methods, storms and drought, and economic conditions to preserve these important pieces of our state and county’s history.

This year the Elbert County Fair and Elbert County Historical Society in partnership with the Elbert County Fair Foundation are excited to announce the third annual Centennial Farms & Ranches Banquet, an evening honoring our Western Heritage. This special evening will celebrate the three newest Elbert County family farms and ranches to have been designated through History Colorado's Centennial Farm & Ranch Program and honor the existing farms and ranches already designated.
