WEATHER:
What happens if weather impacts the fair/schedule? We work closely with Elbert County Emergency Management to ensure the safety of all guests and exhibitors. In the event weather moves into the area, we may delay events as needed. Our last resort is to cancel an event but if safety is an issue that may be our only choice. Please note that concert tickets and mutton busting entry fees are non-refundable even if cancelled due to the weather. Up to date information on shows, schedule, weather delays etc. are posted on the Elbert County Fair Facebook page and Instagram.
WHAT CAN I/ CAN’T I BRING:

Food and non-alcoholic drinks may be kept in a cooler in your vehicle.
Lawn chairs and bleacher cushions are allowed, please be respectful of other spectators around you.
We do not allow any pets on grounds including dogs, please leave your dogs at home.
Due to liquor licensing laws, NO alcohol of any kind is allowed to be brought onto the fairgrounds. All alcohol consumed on grounds must be purchased from the preferred vendor on site.

-A complete list of rules can be found under Spectator Policies on this website.
CAMPING:
Due to space limitations, the campground is reserved during the week of the fair to exhibitors, fair volunteers, and vendors ONLY with pre-registration. No overnight camping is allowed in the parking lot.
PLACES TO STAY:
There are several hotels within 30 minutes of the Elbert County Fair Grounds. Please look for accommodation in the cities of Castle Rock, Parker, Bennett, and Limon. There are also several short-term rentals in the towns of Kiowa, Elizabeth and Elbert.
PARKING:
Parking is accessed through the main entrance of the fair grounds at 95 Ute Ave. We have a main parking lot but also hundreds of parking spaces in the grass area on the South end of the grounds. On busy days you will find overflow parking at the far North end of the fairgrounds.
DISABILITY PARKING:
There are over 20 designated handicapped parking spaces near the entrance and in the main parking lot. For events at the South Pavilion, we have designated handicapped spaces reserved along the South Pavilion fence, you may access these by simply coming through the gate or contacting a fair official to direct you. There are also designated spots at Fellowship Hall. Although our fairgrounds meet regulations for spectators with disabilities, most surfaces are dirt and can present challenges especially when muddy.
RESTROOMS:
We utilize several bathroom facilities throughout the grounds. You will find port-a-potty’s and hand washing stations located near the midway and near the South Pavilion and Horse Pavilion. There is permanent structure bathrooms with handicapped accessibility located both in the Exhibit Building and in the Ag Building.
DO YOU HAVE A CARNIVAL? WHAT IS THE COST?
The Elbert County Fair does not have a traditional carnival with “big rides”. What we do have is a FREE Kiddie Corral area that has small rides, bouncy houses, face painting and much more for kiddos of all ages. The attractions offered are different every year but with no cost to participate, we have found there is hours of fun to be had! This free area is open on different days of the fair, see schedule.
DO YOU HAVE STROLLER OR WHEELCHAIR RENTAL?
No, there is no rental sites on the fairgrounds.
HOW DO WE BUY CONCERT TICKETS?
Tickets to the main arena show concert are sold online through the elbertcountfair.com website. There is a box office located on the midway where tickets can be purchased during the last weekend of the fair. Due to the capacity limitations of the main arena, there is a limited number of tickets available so once those are sold, we will stop ticket sales. Our best advice is to purchase tickets online and do so early.
HOW DO CONCERT TICKETS WORK?
We are pleased to partner with Saffire ticketing to bring you an online ticketing opportunity. We do not use wristbands; all tickets purchased will be available for you to print at home or to have on your smartphone. The rodeo, which precedes the concert, is free to watch. Spectators without a concert ticket may sit in the grandstands and may stay for the concert at no charge. Concert tickets allow you access into the arena after the rodeo for the best seats and standing room in front of the stage. Entry into the arena is gained at the North End after the rodeo where you may line up. Your ticket(s) will be scanned before you may enter. The arena is a dirt floor, those with disabilities and/or in wheelchairs should be aware that this can be a challenge, but we welcome you to the front row at stage level.
Concert tickets are non-refundable, no exceptions even if the weather forces us to cancel.
