2025 Fair Open Class

Open Class Entries

See PDF attached below called "2025 Open Class Book" for classes, rules, etc. Competition is open to adults, children and professionals and will be classed accordingly.

Entry Guidelines

Read the "2025 Open Class Book" below, arrive at the Ag Building during the check-in times with all items you wish to enter. Someone will assist you with filling out your entry tag(s) and entry form. There is a $5 entry fee per exhibitor, exact cash is appreciated. If you wish to fill out your entry tags prior to arrival those are available for pick-up at the Extension Office on the fairgrounds (please note their office is open Monday-Thursday).
  • Please include a brief description of the item on each entry tag.
  • Classes are open to adults, children and professionals
  • Note: Class numbering has changed from previous years.
  • Feel free to call if you have questions or please know there will be on-site help during the check-in process
  • Participants DO NOT have to be residents of Elbert County to exhibit EXCEPT in the gardening divisions; please see Open Class Book for specific rules.
  • All items will be displayed in the Open Class section of the Ag Building during the week of the Elbert County Fair. This is a secure building that is locked at night but all items are entered at the participants own risk. The Elbert County Fair makes no representations nor assumes any liability for items that are lost, stolen or damaged.

🕒 Check-In Options

You have two options for checking in your entries:

📅 Tuesday Evening Check-In

  • Date: Tuesday, July 29
  • Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Location: Ag Building, South Doors

Special Note for Quilts:
Quilts must be entered at the Ag Building, then personally transported by the exhibitor to the Fellowship Hall for judging on Wednesday.


📅 Wednesday Morning Check-In

  • Date: Wednesday, July 30
  • Time: 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM
  • Location: Ag Building, South Doors

Exception – Quilts Only:
Quilts must be:

  • Entered at the Ag Building
  • Checked in at the Fellowship Hall between 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM
  • Delivered to the Fellowship Hall no later than 9:30 AM

Final Check-In Deadline

  • Wednesday, July 30 at 11:30 AM
    (Quilts must be in by 9:30 AM)

Please arrive early enough to complete your check-in by the posted deadlines.

  • General Entries:
    Wednesday, July 30 at 1:00 PMAg Building
    (Silent observation allowed)
  • Quilts:
    Wednesday, July 30 at 10:00 AMFellowship Hall

📤 Check-Out & Premium Pickup

  • Date: Sunday, August 3
  • Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
  • Location: Ag Building

Both item check-out and premium payouts will occur during this time. No early dismissal of items allowed. Items must be picked up by 4:00 PM. If you have won a premium (cash prize) that will be forfeited if not picked up by 4:00 PM.
